Silence has never been so sinful…

While staging a hilarious vampire attack at a client's party, Sera is stunned to encounter a real vampire - annoying, gorgeous and inaudible to everyone but her. When her client's son is found dead with puncture wounds in his neck, she tracks the silent vampire to his lair.

But the amoral and seductive  Blair is also on a mission - to find and kill a nest of young vampires who've invaded his territory. Soon Sera is drawn into the bizarre world of the undead, where danger lurks in the shadows along with forbidden sensual delights - and a murderous conspiracy to flood the world with financially astute vampires who talk.

Supported and hindered by Blair's eccentric, undead friends, and by her own motley crew from Serafina's, Sera and Blair uncover surprising truths about each other and about the mysterious Founder from whom all vampires are descended. In the end, Sera draws on powers she never knew she had in a frantic fight to defeat the forces of evil and preserve the strange, complicated being  she's trying so hard not to love.

Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades—has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.

So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters—especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.

Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she’s gotten in over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she fails—she’s dead.

If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…(Goodreads)

 My Romancing Thoughts:

A headstrong heroine in a dark and gritty paranormal world of shifters!

Author Interview: Faye Robertson & win BLOODLUST

I'm pleased to welcome Faye Robertson, author of Bloodlust to the blog today. Faye is chatting about herself and her latest vampire romance release which is both fun and sexy, so let's get right to the good stuff...

RTD: Name 3 things that would surprise your readers about you.

FR: Umm… I was born in Germany (Dad in the British Army). I have an honours degree in archaeology (specializing in deserted medieval villages). I have a level 85 Night Elf Druid in World of Warcraft. Not sure which of those is the most dull.

RTD: Bloodlust features a vampire with a unique fetish for nuns…what was the inspiration for his character?

FR: I love Angel and Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but they weren’t the inspiration as such. Part of my degree covered Cistercian monasteries and monks and nuns (it was more interesting than it sounds) and so I’ve always had an interest in cloistered societies. I think I was just fascinated with the idea of corruption—not only that Jasper turned the nuns, but that he took away their innocence.

RTD: What was your favorite chapter or scene to write in Bloodlust and why?

FR: The scene in the restaurant made me laugh, where they’re yelling insults at each other and everyone’s listening. I could see that very clearly in my head.

RTD: Is there a message in your novel that you want your readers to grasp?

FR: Don’t bite nuns! Um, no, seriously. No message. I’m not that deep.

RTD: Describe the relationship between Amabel and Jasper in under 140 characters.

FR: Vampire with a nun fetish gets his comeuppance.

My Thoughts...

This cover has a real good vs. evil feel to it that is beautiful and eerie at the same time. The angel with her head down just adds that element of mystery. Introducing the Heroines of the Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series
By felicity Heaton

It’s wonderful to be back at Romancing the Darkside for the next stop in my Vampirerotique Summer Book Tour.

I’ve already spoken about the heroes at an earlier stop in the tour, so today, I’m going to talk a little about the heroines. The heroines in the Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series vary in species. We have a human, a succubus, a vampire, and a werewolf so far. Each of them are very different, but every one of them is a strong woman willing to do anything and capable of capturing the heart of their hero. They’re intense and unforgettable characters who will stay with you forever.

I’ll take a moment now to introduce them all individually, or at least four of them. The last two will have to wait for their introduction.

The Mageri Series Book Tour: Interview with Dannika Dark & win STERLING

Welcome to my stop on the Mageri Series Book Tour! Today I have the pleasure of chatting with author Dannika Dark who's here to talk about her new urban fantasy series. Feel free to show Dannika some love and enter the giveaway :)

RTD: Welcome to Romancing the Darkside Dannika! I’m really excited to have you here today and can’t wait to talk to you about your book Sterling and the Mageri Series so let’s get right to it…

DD: Thanks so much for having me. It’s great to be here!

RTD: Name 3 things that would surprise your readers about you.

DD: That’s an interesting question. I’m always open on my blog or Facebook page, so I’m going to think about the readers who don’t know me. 1.) I spend 8-9 hours a day working in a cubicle for a large company. However, part of my job includes writing training documentation. I’m always finding a way to write. 2.) I’ve never submitted a novel to a publisher or agent. I did early on with poetry, but I made the decision with my novels that I wanted to be an Indie. I’m an independent girl, and this was an exciting place to be. 3.) I can change the spark plugs and oil in my own car. ☺

RTD: What was your inspiration for writing Sterling? Did you think it would turn into a series while writing the first book?

DD: The inspiration came from a Vampire novel I wrote and trashed. I loved some key elements, but the story was awful. Vampire novels are great, but I really wanted to do something fresh. A specific character needled his way into my head from that series and I decided to start over with Sterling. I think when I got halfway through I knew this was going to be a completed novel. It wasn’t until I reached the end and there was more that needed to be told that I knew it was going to be a series. I don’t arc my series, but I do have a small road map in my head of the particular book I’m writing. I don’t know where the road may lead, but part of the journey is discovering the characters and what story they want to share. Usually when I’m ¾ of the way in, I know if it’s going to be a series.
