Who's ready for the weekend?! I know I am! I'm introducing a new feature for Fridays to re-cap the week's posts & to propose a question for my followers. Feel free to get involved by linking up at the bottom. If not, leave your answers in the comments below. (Hosted weekly by Ginger @ GReads)
This week's question:
Book Mourning: Does it happen to you?
When you finish an amazing book, do you find yourself at a loss to pick up another one? What was the last book that left you so lost and bewildered? & What did you do to overcome it?
----------------------------------------------------------
This has happened to me on occasion. I usually tend to pick up something that I know will have a happy ending to cheer me up when following a book that has left me lost and bewildered! The last book that left me in book mourning was Lover Mine by J.R. Ward, I was so anxious to read it and when I finally did it was such an emotional roller coaster that I needed a few days to recover before I started reading again. I then picked up something fun and light that I knew would make me laugh and not cry!
I agree! I forgot about my book hangover from Lover Mine!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what's worse.. the books we so anxiously wait for & then have to deal with the aftermath when it's over... or the books that take us by surprise & we're just left dumbfounded by it's awesomeness when it's ended.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in this week!
